Sanna is truly a cool skier. She doesn´t only do speedskiing, she started out as an alpine skier turning in to a skicross skier and at the same time she has been doing speedskiing. She has a gold medal in Skicross X-games and as you see in the video she has the world record in speed!! I guess she will hold on to the record for a while since the opportunity to break the record doesn´t come up every year, course preparations and weather has to be perfect to even have a shot at the highest speeds..

It's actually a lot of training. Like you can't just go what many joeys do, and go into a really shitty speed-tuck and actually go fast. (I'm not flaming or anything, just stating). A lot of the speed has to do with stance, but also in superficially invisible things, like preasure on the skis, and when/how to absorb every little bump. And also, equipment&preparation, LOTS of time goes into prep. I know for alpine racing (SL, GS, SG) it takes me 5-6HRS on one pair of skis. And of course, TRAINING
